Mark Tarbell
Mark opened Tarbell’s Restaurant in 1994, which has earned more than 50 industry awards, including Food & Wine’s “Best Restaurant”. Mark has been nominated for James Beard’s “Best Chef – Southwest” and in 2017 was nominated for a Rocky Mountain Regional Emmy for his role in hosting “Check Please Arizona” on Arizona PBS. Currently, he is the host of a new PBS show named Plate & Pour.
Mark competed and won Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” and has appeared on “Good Morning Arizona” as well as programs like “Good Morning America” and the “Today Show in NYC”. He’s also appeared on Fine Living, Lifetime and several Food Network programs. Mark has cooked 9 dinners at the James Beard House in NYC.
Yuko Sakurai
After graduating from University of Southern California in Cinematic Art, critical studies, Yuko returned to Japan and worked as a journalist for 10 years. Her journalism career led to film production which eventually brings her back to the U.S. Shortly after, she discovers a career in the culinary arts. She is currently in charge of the beverage program at Shunji, a renowned Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles with the owner-chef Nakao.
