Mimurosugi Tokubetsu Junmai

Established in 1660, the "MIMUROSUGI" line is crafted by Imanishi Brewery - the only remaining Sake Brewery in Miwa, Nara prefecture where Sake-making started as a way to appease the gods.

Miwa is home to the oldest shrine in Japan, Omiwa Shrine, which is believed to enshrine the god of Sake, and it is said that the god of Sake lives in the underground water that flows from Mount Miwa. The brewery uses the same water in every aspect of crafting the Sake, including using rice cultivated using underground water.

A dry Sake with a gentle aroma and umami that expands and lingers on the palate. The sharp finish has a light acidity and savory taste that sets apart this Tokubetu Junmai from the other Sake.
